Decription of study

Follow-up master´s degree study programme WILDLIFE ANIMAL HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION expands the knowledge of the bachelor's degree study programme graduates by linling wildlife health and man, solving local and global problems in the protection of wild animals and the environment, advanced methods and procedures in disease diagnosis and environmental protection.

Students who have completed their bachelor's degree study programme WILDLIFE ANIMAL HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION or a similar field apply to study in the follow-up master's degree study programme. The necessary competence for subsequent master's studies is demonstrated in particular by the results of studies in the bachelor's degree study programme and the results of the entrance exam. Applicants become students of the subsequent master's studies on the day of enrollment.

The course of studies

In the 2nd year of study, a part of the follow-up master's degree study programme includes a professional practice of students in the field of care for wild animals, in a diagnostic laboratory or within nature protection authorities for a total duration of one week (40 hrs) with the aim of becoming familiar with the issue of animal and nature protection in practice. A compulsory part of the practice is the processing of issues and an overview of the professional activities in which the student participated as part of the practice.
The aim of the academically focused follow-up master's degree study programme WILDLIFE ANIMAL HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION is to provide education in five main areas related to the application of the graduate, i.e. human and wildlife animals health, health issues in populations of wildlife animals, laboratory diagnostics and data processing in veterinary ecology, legal decision-making in environmental protection environment and global problems of environmental protection.
