The strategic intention of FVHE is to strengthen the position of the faculty in the field of international cooperation in the sense of an open European educational institution, which cooperates in organizations influencing European higher education, international recognition at the level of international evaluation/accreditation and is ranked among prestigious European veterinary institutions meeting the conditions of the European Directive on the recognition of professional qualifications.
FVHE participates in the activities of European university associations, in particular European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE), where FVHE participated in creating the concept of further development of veterinary education in Europe.
FVHE continues to carry out international cooperation also within the network of Veterinary Network of European Students and Staff Transfer (VetNEST), which organizes mobility within the program Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies (CEEPUS). In this network they are associated veterinary universities located in Brno (Czech Republic), Kosice (Slovak Republic), Vienna (Austria), Budapest (Hungary), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Zagreb (Croatia), Wroclaw (Poland), Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Belgrade (Serbia), Skopji (FYR of Macedonia) and Tirana (Albania).
FVHE participates in the activities through the Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons of the Czech Republic (KVL ČR) Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE), through which it acts European Union of European Veterinary Hygienists (EUVH). VFU is also a member of the European Association of Veterinarians working in the field of education, science and research (European Veterinarians in Education, Research and Industry – EVERI), at regular meetings are attended by a representative FVHE.
FVHE traditionally organizes an international monthly summer school focused on food hygiene - Summer School of Food Hygiene, which is regularly attended by students from Greece, Croatia, Romania and Poland.
Another major financial support for mobility is provided by the Internal Mobility Agency (IMA) VETUNI Brno, which can cover eligible costs related to mobility projects for students of bachelor's or continuing master's study programs, master's study programs and doctoral students.
